Shift Requirements

About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Schedules and revises shipment plans to ensure efficient distribution of products to satisfy customers. Analyzes inventory levels, production speed and product demand to determine reorder levels which will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
Essential to this Position
Review daily inbound product forecasts against customer orders and identify shortages
Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against receiving records
Coordinate the flow of materials, reports discrepancies between actual inventory and recorded inventory, and communicates any other concerns
Review materials delivered to verify accuracy and checks for damaged goods
Monitor, document and resolve base materials issues in progress
Review the accuracy of material needed for specific jobs, applying knowledge of logistics support requirements and processes
Identify expiration dates, total base in production run, inbound scheduled base shipments, and In On Base materials
Research and resolve all overage aged liquidation orders with Shipping Department
Compiles production records in order to locate material using manual or computerized systems
Create Carrier Report Card Report to identify overall carrier performance
Determine all Frozen base needs for a rolling three-week window and communicate with customer on exactly what to ship in on upcoming production
Daily check all inbound customer loads being planned to determine whether or not these items are needed and call out any excess base when it is identified
Determine daily if all base is on site for production planned within the next 48 hours and communicate to customer and company Capacity Planner
Uses SAP to compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand
Performs day-to-day routine tasks, in accordance with established guidelines, and receives specific guidance from a supervisor or other official for handling of unusual non-routine problems
Serve as backup to Scheduler and Project Manager at site
Serves as backup for Inventory Manager; tasks as follows:
Creates reports such as Daily Inventory Report (runs raw data for Manager to review), Weekly Inbound/Outbound , Daily Vital, and Unapproved Inventory
Item Status changes (DIMA), TK, CD, OA
Conducts Stop Order research for item/lot to ship and Inbound items
Search system for Expiry Date accuracy
Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Education Desired
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills & Experience
Work Experience Required
At least 2 years relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
Additional Requirements
Working knowledge of SAP, SAP S/4HANA Business Suite experience a plus
