About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue. Ensures that organizational goods or services consistently meet client needs. May be responsible for providing sales quotations as well as sustaining and renewing client contracts.

 

Essential to this Position

The Business Development Manager leads and manages the day-to-day operation of the Business Development team to grow ORBIS’ new customer base. They collaborate with the Vice President RSC sales, to deliver strategic growth and represent the team on interdepartmental projects. The Business Development Manager additionally has management responsibility for our channel business which consists of catalogues, dealers and resellers. This role is responsible for onboarding new hires, developing the team, and providing oversight to the development of Sales Trainees.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Business Development team and the Dealer/Reseller Account Manager
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver strategic growth
  • Maintain a Business Development territory to drive growth and opportunity
  • Lead and oversee the improvement of processes by identifying, analyzing, and improving upon existing processes
  • Develop practical and creative solutions to customer issues, while maintaining composure and self-awareness
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop direct reports for professional growth
  • Simplify processes to train and onboard new hires and Sales trainees
  • Investigate, probe, and provide quotations to new customers and engage prospects
  • Continuously educate self on the ORBIS product line to effectively field customer questions about products, options, and performance
  • Collaborate with Regional Account Managers, Pricing, and Product Management to earn new customer business and provide excellent customer service to maintain an ongoing customer relationship
  • Timely respond to customers and internal teams
