About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Responsible for pricing of goods and services in order to stay competitive in the market. Conducts market research and makes recommendations regarding pricing policies. Maintains historical pricing data on the organization and its competitors.

 

Essential to this Position
  • Prepares pricing and labor estimates on routine small projects and on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents for CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)
  • Develops cost/price model for the variety of displays and customers
  • Communicates effectively with customers, supervisors, and staff to exchange or convey information and receive work direction for any changes that affects pricing
  • Notifies customer on any changes that affect the cost of the project
  • Creates and validates production line drawings
  • Maintains historical pricing data folders electronically and in hard file
  • Creates additional billings as needed for client specific purposes; or changes base on job basics
  • Reviews assembly instructions, evaluates requests for estimates, and understands scope of work to bid
  • Conducts physical time studies on displays
  • Prepares cost analysis by recapitulating material and labor incurred in the production of the product
  • Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness, accuracy and understanding of scope of work to quote
  • Provides assistance with bids and quotes as required
  • Navigates and enters data into WMS so that accurate information to be disseminated through various reports (such as O/H/Forecast reports)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

At least 2 years relevant experience required.
Additional Requirements
  • Must know how to read and understand CAD Drawings and Specs
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
  • Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
  • Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
