About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Organizes and directs the daily activities of the laboratory. Responsible for supervising laboratory personnel, conducting and overseeing quality assurance and quality control, and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting lab results.

 

Essential to this Position

Provide leadership to the Materials Innovation Center (MIC) to provide meaningful information, accelerates organizational knowledge, and provides material solutions. Lead cross functional collaboration to provide material and sustainability solutions to customers. Promote a culture of safety, engagement, and customer focus.

  • Lead the Material Solutions Platform (MRB)
  • Oversee the analysis and evaluation of products and materials
  • Work closely with Engineering on various new product development projects
  • Develop and exploit commercially viable material solutions
  • Explore and apply new and accepted analytical methods and chemical analysis technologies to assist with material solutions
  • Manage laboratory communication, schedules, data, documentation, capital plans and budget
  • Partner with Purchasing, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing in all aspects of material qualification and ongoing cost reduction efforts
  • Serve as a technical resource and problem solver for chemical/material related issues
  • Adhere to ISO quality procedures and processes
  • Address government and customer compliance issues (FM, RoHS, REACH)
  • Partner with and manage third party relationships as needed
  • Support customers (int/ext) with sustainability and material-based solutions that support the circular economy

At least 5 years relevant experience required.
