About The Opportunity
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on plant equipment and facilities while overseeing the maintenance operation of the shift.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Direct and oversee the maintenance teams and work practices.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and facilities.
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ordering when necessary.
Design, build, fabricate and program systems and equipment.
Operate crane, forklift, boom lift, milling machine, lathe and drill press.
Understand and maintain mold change paperwork, when applicable.
Motivate and train Maintenance Technicians and other personnel.
Perform responsibilities of processing and automation, when necessary.
Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are
required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
Education / Certifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Other Certifications Required Or Desired
Tech School or equivalent combination of training and experience
Skills & Experience
Work Experience Required
3-5 years of relevant work experience, specifically in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge or industrial maintenance required.
3-5 years of leadership experience required.
1-3 years of experience in plastic injection molding or extrusion equipment desired.
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
Ability to STOP-THINK-ACT and work safely.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business.
Ability to work on a rotating shift.
Ability to work rotating job stations.
Ability to effectively work in teams.
Ability to professionally accept constructive feedback and criticism.
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.
Ability to pass Paulson, Systematic 1, Fanuc, Sepro, MP&D and crane training for plastics facility.
Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Suite, SAP and ECATs.
Knowledge of basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and operations of
weight measurement, volume and distance.
Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out program.
