About The Opportunity
Position Summary
To provide accurate and timely cash application to company accounts as customer payments arrive from multiple banks in various currencies. (No credit or collection calls to customers.) Coordinate the daily activities of three or more A/R associates to ensure daily cash application deadlines are met.


Essential to this Position
  • Ability to lead a team of associates including, evaluating performance, providing direction, and coaching as needed.
  • Understand, process and perform accurate and timely application of cash receipts to customer accounts for each legal entity and appropriate currency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Understand technology and equipment that are an integral part of the accounts receivable process, including SAP, SharePoint, multiple bank lockboxes, interfaces from multiple banks in multiple currencies, and required record storage.
  • Understand the systems and processes used in A/R; investigating all opportunities for more efficient and effective ways of processing transactions and identifying and resolving errors to ensure accuracy in the information provided to our customers.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions to the cash received from multiple bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Calculate and enter month end journal entries for multiple bank accounts on various company books in various currencies.
  • Respond to Business Unit inquiries for processing and system issues.
  • Drive and initiative to thoroughly investigate opportunities for improvement and provide our customers and credit departments with compelling value.
  • Work closely with the ERP team in the implementation and testing of new A/R processes.

At least 4 years relevant experience required.

  • Knowledge of finance, financial methods, tools and strategies
  • Ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
  • Knowledge of and ability to use processes, tools and techniques for exploring and evaluating alternative financial scenarios and results
  • Knowledge of the functions, tools and processes needed to manage financial assets and liabilities throughout the organization
  • Knowledge of the methods, processes, and tools for maintaining the books of the organization and preparing financial statements and reports
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting applications specific to the organization
Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Accounting degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one year team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong experience with computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ERP/SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines under pressure situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
