About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Quality Technicians audit products and processes and ensure accurate appraisals, assist in corrective actions, collect and summarize data that aides in decision-making and update QMS documents to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide support to plant personnel and staff on daily quality issues
  • Audit compliance with existing procedures and requirements
  • Perform and assist with raw material testing
  • Perform correlation studies
  • Create PCR’s and follow up to ensure completion
  • Support manufacturing trials
  • Update QMS documentation
  • Collect and summarize data as needed
  • Conduct in-house calibration and schedule outsourcing calibration services
  • Issue and communicate quality alerts as needed
  • Support Quality systems implementation (aid in writing procedures and work instructions)
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed)
  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; is expected to promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities

Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Education Desired
Technical Degree
Skills & Experience
Work Experience Required
  • 2 years in manufacturing or quality
  • 2 years in LEAN environment
  • Experience in LEAN / Continuous Improvement role
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
  • Able to communicate, develop and positively influence other hourly personnel without direct authority
  • Knowledge and use of quality related tools
  • Development skills for procedures, work instructions and product quality documentation
  • Ability to collect, organize and analyze data; strong organizational skills and understanding of record keeping
  • Be detail oriented, follow through completely on issues regarding product quality, reference documentation and the quality system
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite
