About The Opportunity
Position Summary
Provide support for all issues relating to Diecutting, Finishing, and Pressroom production. Provide direction on the day-to-day activities of the department in order produce in the most efficient and effective manner. Serve as point of contact for production temporary employees.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Monitor work areas to ensure all employees are working safely.
  • Demonstrates commitment to quality and performs job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines.
  • Should be aware of their responsibilities and their accountability is clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems.
  • Provide daily coaching and feedback to all department employees.
  • Schedule production and monitor orders to increase overall productivity and quality while simultaneously meeting efficiency goals and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate temporary service employees, first day orientation, and all related activities
  • Assign work and monitor production orders as they arrive in department
  • Participate in daily scheduling meetings with other lead people to discuss priorities, rush, etc.
  • Provide answers and make decisions related to production and quality; Facilitate customer/quality "OK's"
  • Troubleshoot problems on press (mechanical and graphics)
  • Proactively communicate problems to applicable areas (ie. Quality, Customer Service, Scheduling, Prep, etc.)
  • Monitor schedules, rush orders, hot list, call-ins etc.
  • Communication liaison with all LMS
  • Identify and implement process improvements & increased productivity opportunities
  • Enhance internal and external department communication toward a cohesive work environment
  • Participate in monthly department meetings and other meetings as needed to communicate policy, revisions, general updates, etc.
  • Provide backup ECATS responsibilities and resolve issues with Payroll when necessary
  • Assist the Department Area Manager on following areas:
  • Weekly/daily Manning Requirements
  • Overtime Requirements
  • Quality complaints
  • Employee training
  • Provide input into employee disciplinary issues and performance reviews in a timely manner
  • Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
  • Actively participates in Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

  • Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office and understanding of an ERP system
